Why Castora exists
Castora started with a simple observation: the tools available to casting professionals hadn't kept up with how creative teams actually work. Directors and producers are rarely in the same room. Performers are spread across cities and time zones. Yet the audition process still assumes everyone can be in one place at one time.
We saw casting directors drowning in spreadsheets, email threads, and shared drives full of unlabelled self-tapes. We saw performers missing opportunities because their schedule didn't line up with a two-hour audition window. We saw teams making decisions based on who happened to be available, not who was best for the role.
